Management Accountant (PE-Backed)

We are delighted to be partnered with an international PE-Backed organisation that are looking for a talented Management Accountant to join the team. During a time of exciting growth and investment, the successful candidate will partner directly with the Finance Director to help manage the finance function and play a pivotal role in  taking the organisation through a sale.

Playing a crucial role in preparing and delivering month-end accounts, P&L statements, fully reconciled balance sheets, cash flow statements, and developing functional leadership team requirements and business KPIs.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Month-End Accounts: Prepare and deliver comprehensive month-end accounts, P&L statements, and fully reconciled balance sheets.
    • Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
    • Sales Reporting: Prepare detailed sales reports, providing valuable insights.
    • Accounts Payable: Ensure all purchase invoices are posted into the AP system and manage required supplier payments.
    • Credit Card Reconciliation: Reconcile credit card statements monthly, ensuring accurate cost recording.
    • Accruals & Prepayments: Prepare accruals and prepayments with precision.
    • Employment Cost Journals: Post employment cost journals accurately.
    • Management Information Packs: Populate monthly Management Information Packs with detailed and relevant data.
    • Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliation and resolution.
    • Banking: Handle daily, weekly, and periodic banking tasks.
    • Audit Deliverables: Complete the annual audit deliverables pack and provide timely information during the audit process.
    • Financial Projects: Support a variety of financial projects, bringing your expertise to the table.
    • Audit Queries: Assist the Finance Director and FP&A team with audit queries during year-end processes.
    • Process Improvement: Continuously develop and improve current processes and systems, both individually and as part of the team.
    • Ad Hoc Duties: Perform any other ad hoc duties as required by management.

  • Industry Experience: 2-3 years of experience
  • MS Dynamics Expertise: Experience with MS Dynamics is a plus.
  • Costing Knowledge: In-depth experience in costing.
  • Month-End Mastery: Proven track record of full month-end preparation and completion.
  • Analytical Skills: Previous experience in analysing, variance analysis, and reporting.

  • Qualified Accountant: CIMA or ACCA certification required.
