Risk Analyst (Clear Planned Progression)

This role offers a blended work week between their central London office, home, and various events. You will partner with key stakeholders across the group, with opportunities for international travel to their overseas offices and industry networking events.

Due to expansion in the division through growth and reinvestment, there are two exciting opportunities available. With clear targets and plans in place, there is no cap on progression, allowing these roles to develop together or at varying paces.

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive month-end accounts, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful financial reports to support decision-making.
  • Audit and Compliance:
  • Lead internal meetings and manage audit processes, including the completion of the annual audit deliverables pack and ongoing information requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyse budget performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Partner with key stakeholders across the group to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
  • Facilitate international travel to overseas offices and attend industry networking events.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  • Oversee the posting of purchase invoices into the AP system and manage supplier payments.
  • Ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of credit card statements and other financial transactions.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify and assess financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential issues.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to enhance financial stability.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Continuously develop and improve current financial processes and systems, both individually and as part of the team.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ad Hoc Financial Projects:
  • Support various financial projects, bringing expertise and innovative solutions to the table.
  • Assist the Finance Director and FP&A team with audit queries and other financial tasks.
  • Management Information Packs:
  • Populate and prepare monthly Management Information Packs with detailed and relevant financial data.
  • Provide comprehensive insights to support business decisions.
  • Networking and Professional Development:
  • Actively participate in industry networking events and professional development opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in renewable energy and carbon offsetting.

  • Energy Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the energy markets, including regulatory frameworks and market dynamics.
  • Risk Assessment Skills: Proven experience in assessing and mitigating financial, operational, and market risks.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Strong analytical skills with experience in variance analysis, reporting, and data interpretation.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in risk management software and data analysis tools.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting risk assessments and recommendations.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

Qualified Professional: Certification or finalist in Risk Management or relevant field such as CIMA, ACCA, or CFA. Relevant Degree or Certification within the industry
